Marko Germar (born November 20, 1988) is a Jazz and Contemporary dancer. He competed during the eighth season of So You Think You Can Dance and placed 3rd behind Melanie Moore and Sasha Mallory.

Biography

Marko was born and raised in Guam before moving to Los Angeles in 2008. He comes from Filipino background. His mother is/was a ballroom instructor in Guam. He trained in all styles of dance such as ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, tap and even gymnastics although he claimed that he was not a fan of anything other than hip hop growing up. The training he had was not consistent and since the opportunities were not available to him, he learned from YouTube.

Post-SYTYCD

Marko has been doing a lot of commercial work since the show. He has performed as a dancer for Jennifer Lopez and numerous times for Disney as well as Glee. He has been in Shake it Up and has performed with Ross Lynch. He also performed on The Voice and, most recently, was one of the head dancers in Teen Beach Movie. He was also in the movie Step Up Revolution.

He returned to SYTYCD in Season 13 to replace Joshua Allen as Sheaden Gabriel's All-Star mentor. He than came back in Season 14 as an All-Star for Koine Iwasaki and finished as the Runner-Up that season.
