Payne starred as Alice Ellerton in the 2009 reinvention of the movie Fame. And was seen in Season 5 introducing the Top 4 to a private screening of the movie. It also features Debbie Allen. Along with Comfort Fedoke and Katee Shean, Payne was featured as a Jane Adams Choir Dancer ("Bootylicious" number) the "Hairography" episode of Glee. She was a Checkout Girl in the indie movie Leading Ladies, starring Melanie LaPatin and Benji Schwimmer.

She appeared as a Frat Party Dancer in No Strings Attached, as a Dancer in CSI and Vegas. She was featured as herself on the E! docu-drama, The Dance Scene, the series followed Laurieann Gibson and her dancers as they lived and worked in the LA dance/entertainment industry.

She can be seen as Angelica in True Blood, as a Showgirl in Behind the Candelabra, as a DJ in Sins of Our Youth. Featured as Mary in Bravetown and as Sasha in Born to Dance.
