After So You Think You Can Dance, Karen became a professional on Strictly Come Dancing starting in Series 10 and has since continued. She has also performed in the show, Burn the Floor. Karen and Matthew Hauer divorced prior to 2015. She married fellow Burn the Floor dancer Kevin Clifton in 2015. In 2018, it was announced the couple is separated.

- Karen auditioned with her than husband Matthew Hauer, becoming one of two married couples to make it to Vegas Week. Matthew, however, was cut during Vegas Week and Karen continued on to Top 20.
