Brittany Cherry was a contestant on season 10 of So You Think You Can Dance. Her genre is Latin Ballroom. She was eliminated on July 2, 2013.


Brittany started dancing at the age of 3. She first took ballet and jazz then started ballroom at the age of 5. She is formally trained in Latin, ballroom, ballet, jazz, and contemporary.

Meet the Top 20 (June 18, 2013)[]

Brittany Cherry was revealed to make it into the top 20, along with fellow Ballroom dancers, Alan Bersten, Jenna Johnson, and Paul Karmiryan. The four dancers joined Louis van Amstel for a Samba quartet. The judges love the routine and compliment the fun and spunky feel to the dance. Brittany joined the top 10 girls for a Jazz routine choreographed by Ray Leeper. Brittany's last routine was a Jazz group dance with the top 20, choreographed by Sonya Tayeh.

Top 20 Perform[]

This week, Brittany performed a Funk Jazz group dance, choreographed by NappyTabs. Brittany was revealed to be partnered with animator, BluPrint Hector. The two dancers danced a African Jazz routine, choreographed by Sean Cheesman. The judges love the routine, complimenting Brittany on her versatility.

Top 20 Perform[]

This week, Brittany Cherry performed a whimsical Broadway number, choreographed by Tyce Diorio. Brittany appeared to be in the bottom 6, and had to dance a solo, along with Hip-Hopper, Mariah Spears. The judges decided to save Mariah, and eliminated Brittany. Though, she still had to support her partner. Brittany and partner, BluPrint, performed a Broadway routine, choreographed by Spencer Liff.


October 7th 2014: Ed Sheeran - "Thinking Out Loud" Music Video choreograph by Tabitha and Napoleon D'umo. Assisted by Paul Karmiryan.

Brittany is now a member of the dance troupe on Dancing With the Stars along with fellow SYTYCD alumni Jenna Johnson, Hayley Erbert, and Alan Bersten as of season 20. Witney Carson, Lindsay Arnold, and Allison Holker also dance as professionals on the show.
